Celebration of Productivity week is a regular Annual Feature of Odisha State Productivity Council. 48th AGM and National Productivity Day was Celebrated at Hotel New Marrion, Bhubaneswar on 25th February 2023.
In this occasion 42 nos of Productivity Excellence award of 5 Star, 4 Star & 3 Star Category presented from 18 different Industries (Nalco, PPL, IFFCO, Tata Steel Mining Ltd, Essel Mining & Industries Ltd, Rourkela Steel Plant, Bokaro Steel Plant, Bhilai Steel Plant, Durgapur Steel Plant, SAIL-ISP, SAIL- Environment Management Division, Odisha Mining Corporation) of Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh by the Chief Guest Shri Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Honorable MLA, Chairman, Eastern Media Pvt Ltd in presence of Shri Amar Pattnaik, Honorable MP Rajya Sabha and Shri Avijit Nayak, NPC Regional Director. Productivity Excellence Award – 2022 was organized by Odisha State Productivity Council with Technical Partner National Productivity Council, Bhubaneswar and Institute of Quality & Environment Management Services.
Shri Ashok Kumar Tripathy, IAS (Retd.), President mentioned that innovation was the key to unlocking productivity and productivity will drive economic growth for us to unlock productivity. We must adopt innovation. Once productivity improves jobs will be created, improves Capital will find its way into the Economy. “There is a direct correlation between innovation and productivity”.
Shri Avijit Nayak, Regional Director, National Productivity Council mentioned that Productivity week was observed from February 12 to February 18 like every year, to enhance awareness about Productivity across all sectors. This year Web based events and physical events were being carried out by NPC and OSPC across Odisha.
The Productivity Day Celebration was organized at Hotel The New Marrion, Janapath, Bhubaneswar more than 200 participants attended the Productivity Day Celebration and Award Ceremony.
